Wilson Elementary School, at 5200 HHR Ranch Road, is one of the Teton County School District's newer buildings. The big red school house for students in K-5 is a proud icon of the community at the base of Teton Pass. Principal Tracy Poduska's vision for WES is to challenge the child, school and community to work as partners in creating an environment that fosters excellence, nurtures self worth, and shapes concerned and responsible citizens who have the motivation and skills to become life-long learners. Parental involvement is a hallmark of WES, as is innovative teaching tools, such as KWES, the school's TV station, which broadcasts live at 8 a.m. each day and involves all students in grades 2-5.
