Living Well: Healing with energy

Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Often when our bodies have aches and pains or we sense something is slightly off like a low-grade feeling of sadness, it can be a signal that we need nudging on an emotional, physical or spiritual level.

That’s when a session with an energy healer can be of benefit. Energy healers tune in to the invisible energy field of the body and balance it to provide optimal conditions for deep healing to occur by clearing blockages and stimulating vitality, helping the body to heal itself.

“When the energy systems are in balance and flowing smoothly one will experience a healthy and vital physical body, an alert, intelligent and peaceful mind and emotional peace and harmony,” said Lori Reetz, an energy healer in Jackson. Essentially, practitioners like Reetz realign the energy flow and reactivate the mind, body and spirit connection to eliminate blockages to self-healing.

Reetz is certified in three ancient healing modalities, and she draws from each during her healing sessions. Though each work differently, they complement each other.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is a Japanese tradition she uses that balances the internal meridian channels through the acupressure points of the body similar to acupuncture, but using no needles – only the healing touch of hands. A Korean tradition, Dahn Hak, harmonizes the internal and external energy channels while an Indian tradition, Deeksha, quiets the part of the brain that causes suffering such as anger, worry and fear and activates the part where the positive essences such as happiness, peace, joy and love are stored.

“They all create a sense of oneness, of collective consciousness,” she said.
Reetz has a warm, grounded demeanor, and combined with the radiant ambience of her healing room and calming music, the setting was a welcoming one for deep healing.

She created the space when she remodeled her house a couple years ago, putting in the healing room to balance her professional life with her passion – helping others find paths to health and well-being.

My experience of a healing session with Reetz left me with feelings of peace and relaxation, similar to how I feel after a massage or yoga session.

Reetz is the owner of Blue Crane Real Estate, but her path to energy work began when she became interested in herbs for healing while in high school and college. She was diagnosed with thyroid issues and prescribed different medicines that doctors told her she would be on for the rest of her life.

“I saw it as a Band-Aid – not a cure or fix,” she said. “I started taking herbs, because I had an internal knowing that God has given us everything we need to be balanced and healthy.

“It’s all about learning to balance,” she said.

Harmonizing, balancing and removing the stagnation in the energy system of the body can relieve imbalances, creating healing and rejuvenation. JHW

To set up a private session or for more info call Reetz at 690-3387. She’s running an off-season special of $65 for one session or $200 for four.
