JH Green Living Guide

Jackson Hole wouldn't be the same without jagged mountain peaks, roaming wildlife and teeming forests. Because of its close connection to the natural world, many people that live and work here – including Planet Jackson Hole – are concerned about living sustainably and preserving the region's unique setting.

This conscientious populace has required many businesses to think about sustainability and the environment as well. Jackson Hole offers eco-friendly products for the home and office, organic food and shopping, a comprehensive transit system, environmental and outdoor education opportunities, and other "green" living options. In addition, Jackson Hole boasts a robust recycling facility that accepts glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, aluminum and electronics.

In the summer months, Jackson residents and visitors can also take advantage of locally grown produce by purchasing shares from nearby farms and attending weekly farmer's markets on the Town Square.
