Jackson Hole, Wyo.-Just when you thought country-rock’s boundaries were maxed-out, Austin’s Lonesome Heroes added a psychedelic-indie edge defined by reverb-soaked electric dobro and the songwriting duo of Rich Russell and Landry McMeans. Evidence of restless honesty and a road trip never quite ends, the free-spirited Heroes are a diamond in the saturated buffet of what people are calling country these days. You’ll have three chances to see them this week. The quartet will play at 8 p.m. on Thursday, outside at the Knotty Pine in Victor and 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the Silver Dollar Bar. Both shows are free.
•Memphis’s Lord T and Eloise spread satire, hip-hop and “aristocrunk” rap to put on what The Nashville Scene called “an intoxicating spectacle.” Their polished and catchy rhythms were even displayed at the Grammys. While much of their style relates to the traditional crunk Memphis sound, other tunes are characterized by baroque and harpsichord music. Lord T’s flow seems to be Snoop Dogg influenced while Eloise flows as if channeling Chuck D of Public Enemy. Catch the groove at 10 p.m. on Thursday at 43 North, located on the south end of Cache St. Cover to be announced. Reach the bar by calling 733-0043.

Those of you who don’t already know about the low-key coffee house atmosphere and live music at Hard Drive Café, should pop in this Friday to see Mark Memmer and Friends playing “boss-a nada” jazz, blues, and originals. “Friends” include Martin Hagen (flugelhorn & trumpet), Robin Moore (vocals), John Kuzloski (harmonica), and Martel Memmer (basses and guitar). JHW
The free show will run 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, with music dedicated to recent personal and community losses.
