Jackson Hole, Wyoming - A high-energy outfit, the Depue Brothers Band produces tight, virtuosic violin playing and a fusion of musical styles: bluegrass fiddles with banjo, guitar, bass and drums mixed with pop and classical elements.
The DePues have enough cred to make any serious music fan take notice.
Zachary is the concertmaster of the Indianapolis Symphony, Jason is a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Wallace is with the Philly Pops and Alex is an accomplished fiddler.
This show is part of the festival’s Wednesday Spotlight Concert series. The festival’s new artistic planner, Shelly Fuerte, comes to Jackson from the Pittsburgh Symphony, and has invited several heavy-hitting pops figures like Grammy-winning Marvin Hamlisch and guitarist Sharon Isbin and exhilirating talents like the DePue Brothers Band. – AJB
