Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Tomorrow night Jackson resident, Gevorg "Gev" Manoukian, 21, will debut on Fox's hit TV show,
So You Think You Can Dance.Gev, currently a business student at the University of Utah, made the short list of 20 dancers hand-selected to compete on this season's voter-based show.
Though three judges usually command the fate of the dancers, often
cutting them immediately, viewers can participate by voting online. The
dancers are required to compete in a variety of dance styles including
jazz, Latin-jazz, jive, swing, disco, hip-hop, Foxtrot,
Argentine Tango, tango, mambo, samba and cha-cha.
"We hope to see Gevorg make it to the end!" said his parents, Andria and Akop Manoukian. Akop is the director of the Grand Teton Skating Academy and Andria is the general manager at the Woods Hotel.
According to his parents, Gev hopes to open a dance studio after completing his studies in Utah.
The show airs on Fox, 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning on June 11.
