JACKSON HOLE, WYO–– The Wyoming Highway Patrol seized
about 106 pounds of high-grade marijuana during routine traffic stops beginning last week.
Troopers seized the pot bonanza over
the course of five unrelated stops, four of them near Laramie. Another
stop, which lead to the seizure of 12 pounds of marijuana, occurred
near Cokeville, in Lincoln County.
The marijuana was all headed east-bound and destined for places outside
of Wyoming, a highway patrol spokesperson said. The estimated street value of all that
pot was more than a quarter million dollars.
Last year Wyoming's highway patrol seized about 500 pounds of marijuana of various grades.
