Latest interstate bust seizes heroin, cocaine
The Wyoming Highway Patrol has seized hundreds of pounds of high-grade marijuana already this year, but the latest big drug bust doesn’t follow the same  punchline about California pot passing through the state.

State troopers near Buffalo last week made what they said is the largest seizure of heroin by the WHP in a decade. Three undocumented nationals from Mexico are being held on felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

In addition to 75 grams of heroin, an estimated street value of about $9,000, the three were also found carrying 27.5 grams of cocaine, worth around $3,000.
A state trooper pulled their northbound car over for speeding about nine miles south of Buffalo, according to a WHP summary of the bust.

The arresting officer detected the smell of marijuana in the car, which led to the search of the vehicle. The cocaine and heroin were discovered in jars of peanut butter with the seals re-glued.

Authorities believe the drugs were headed from Denver to Bozeman, Mont.

Haiti party raised $38K+
A party for Haiti last week raised more than $38,000 to aide relief projects in the decimated country.

Organizer Ashley Watson said about 500 people over the course of the night spent more than $18,000 on tickets and concessions at the Hole Hearts for Haiti event at the Pink Garter Theater. Watson partnered with Foster Friess' Haiti Renewal Fund, which will provide matching funds to double the proceeds from the party.

Donations –from vendors, bands, the venue owner– allowed organizers to keep expenses down around $1,000, maximizing the dollars going to three organizations working in Haiti. JHW

Another clear case of profiling. Stupid speeders should not be singled out and picked on.

They probably fit the profile and then they became an easy target via the speeding violation. Cops profile, as they should, then they look for a reason to pull ya over.

Yeah, and aren't we lucky we have the WHP Troopers, the most talented at this.
