Kudzu and TMR
What is Teton Meadows? I’ve heard a lot of people talking about it recently. Big ideas, little ideas. People acting big, people acting little. You know what I think it is (and what other projects like it would be for Jackson Hole?) Kudzu. Kudzu, the non-native species with no natural predators, out of control. A plant that grows 60 feet a year, and takes 10 years to kill. The only herbicide that affects it, makes it grow better. All you can do is chop it back and let animals graze on it heavily. Nobody knew how bad this would get. When it first came here from Japan, people thought it had pretty flowers and smelled nice. Goats liked eating it. It grew so fast, people used it to stop erosion. Now we know what a problem it is. And now it’s too late. People call it ‘the vine that ate the South,’ and it has changed the landscape forever.

@#$%ing idiots?
Idiots. We are a nation being led by @#$%ing idiots.  In case all of your 24/7 Britney-Paris news networks missed it, our Government Printing Office has outsourced the manufacture of our the U.S.’s electronic passports to a company in Thailand that has been in the past a victim of Chinese espionage. Netting the GPO, ironic intitials aren’t they, officals $100 million in profits by charging our State Department more for blank passports than it costs to make them. Not bad for an agency that by law is only supposed to recoup the cost of printing the passports.

This at a time when Micheal Chertoff, the sectretary for The Department of Homeland  Security who  holds duel Isreali- U.S, citizenship, has threatened citizens of  the states that don’t comply to the Real I.D. Act  would have to use passports to board domestic flights. This is the man most noted for saying that “Louisianna is a city largely under water”, after hurricane Katrina struck. Yet his department has no problem with this “deal” while it approves of strip searching grandmothers and making women remove their nipple-rings at airports and placing four year olds on the no-fly list all for supposedly national security concerns.?

It is your party that postures iteself as the only one that will keep us the U.S. safe but the facts speak otherwise.  911 happened on your watch, the manmade disastor that happened in the wake of Katrina was on your watch in which your party helped confiscate guns from lawabiding citizens when they needed them the most, the scandelous Dubai ports deal, Plamegate the outing of a highly trained CIA  agent happened and also provided the greatest recruitment and terriorist training ground which is the Idiot’s War in Iraq that our country was lied into and is still being lied to about that our grandkids will be paying for and maybe still fighting, all  happened with nobody but the Republican Party responsible.

Your party bails out the big banks but not the one ones they hoodwinked. Your party sends $13 billion in cash to a war zone that just disappears but short change wounded vets and put them in rat infested V.A. hospitals. Your party provides legal protections for big pharmacutical companies while denying health care for poor kids. The Republican congress under the first six years of the Bush administration ran up a deficit greater than all previous administrations combined yet it’s the GOP,your party, that call the Democrats the big spenders.

If the Justice Department along with our congressional delegation wasn’t in the hip pocket of the President  the entire Republican party would be up on racketeering charges.  Wyoming it’s time for a change we’ve been lied to for too long, it’s time to turn our current aiders and abettors out and take a risk on change at least maybe we’ll get a new song and dance.

Guilty Demeanor
Ronald Reagan did a much better job of deception, because he was in fact an actor. “W” should have taken some lessons. When the so-called unforeseen terrorist attacks occurred that fateful morning of Sep. 11, we all ran to the TV or radio to learn more.
Our president, however, sauntered into his pre-arranged photo op with a group of 2nd graders already aware of the first plane strike. Even after being informed of the second plane crash and that the US was “officially” under attack, he still sat there perusing a book called “My Pet Goat” for another 7 minutes.

In addition, Bush later lies about seeing the first plane crash footage before entering the classroom from a TV that “was obviously on” when in fact this footage wasn’t broadcasted till the next day.

“Operation Northwoods” was a submitted plan by the US Dept. of Defense in 1962 to fake Cuban attacks on innocent Americans to create a seemingly legitimate excuse for invasion. Gratefully, this declassified operation was never executed. The Bush/Cheney/Bin Laden collaboration, however, ran with this horrific “idea” and turned into a sloppily choreographed “reality.”

“Guilty Demeanor” is a legal term used when one’s actions clearly reveal an attempt to hide the truth. While the entire world reacted in horror and shock, Cheneys personal pet pretended to be calmly reading. Bush’s silk tie is really his leash.

Somehow, the slumber continues. When will the American people realize they are being herded like frightened sheep? It’s time to courageously unzip our souls and shed our voluntary domestication. We must remember that we are in fact a nation of heroic wolves
that can no longer tolerate these sinister and insane atrocities any longer.

Reader Comments

Dear Editor: Why is it that nearly every week you have a letter from Joshua Doolittle? At best he is a part time resident. Do actual residents not write to you? In addition, he spews the same old lines of hate against 'the man' - whether it be the republican president or the conspiracies that abound in Joshua's mind. Nothing new - or real some cases. Does Joshua have pictures of the editor naked with a goat or something to keep getting printed?
