You won’t find unbearably long lines for a cup of joe or unpredictable operating hours at JoJo’s, Jackson Hole’s newest coffee shop, at 80 W. Broadway. Instead, you’ll find an inviting, relaxed atmosphere and a 14-hour day. That’s right, you can go for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.
Owner Josephine Bedford, 26, has been dreaming of opening a coffee shop since she was 16.
“My mom basically told me to fish or cut bait,” Bedford said from a barstool in the back of the café. “So, probably in December I got really serious about it and really started the groundwork to build the space and to do it.”
JoJo’s is nestled between Lee’s Tees and the Mangy Moose Emporium, set back into the Broadway Shops where the escalator used to be. Bedford approached the landlord and proposed a café for the space. Apparently, she was convincing.
The café serves paninis, sweet and savory crepes, salads and breakfast sandwiches in addition to a full line of coffee drinks and baked goods.
“My close family friend is a roaster in Oakland and so that’s where we get our coffees. It’s called Peerless Coffee,” said Bedford. “It’s a real high quality bean.”
JoJo’s menu features nine different panini selections, including three vegetarian options. Old favorites get a little something extra, like the BLT with truffled mayo, or a ham sandwich with Brie and sun-dried tomatoes. Crepes range from arugula and eggs to chocolate pie.
Also, JoJo’s is equipped with wireless access and invites patrons to BYOB for dinner. JoJo’s is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Give a call at 739-2400.
