Go local for dirt fix

Jackson Hole, Wyo.-Well Spring has sprung ... finally, and all the mountain bikers who don’t have road bike fever are itching for some dirt. Easier said than done! It doesn’t take much to figure out that our single track is still entombed in snow.

Of course, the obvious reminder here is to stay off the local trails for a while in order to ensure their long-term stability – especially the Putt Putt trail, which is the traditional early season go-to. If you need a dirt fix, consider a quick road trip. We have some great nearby trails that don’t require the full commitment of a Moab/Fruita Road trip. Here’s a list of some helpful resources:

Locally, the Bikers’ Trails Party will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at Snow King. There will be live music, refreshments and all the info you could ever want about our local trails. We have an amazing trail network that can keep getting better every year with your help. See you there!
