Cache to Game Race

Jackson Hole, Wyo.-As you may or may not know, the Cache to Game Race was postponed last week due to a damaged bridge. I have not heard a proposed new date for the race, but I did get a report from Linda Merigliano of the Bridger-Teton National Forest about the situation. “We are advising people to get off their bike and walk across the bridge. I am trying to make arrangements to get a small crew up there to fix it as soon as possible.
We will be moving the bridge downstream about 25 feet. There is no way to repair it in place.”
Sounds like Linda and her crew will have the situation under control shortly. If you are looking for a mountain bike race fix, don’t forget about the Wydaho Fourth of July race at Grand Targhee. This has been one of the very best local races for years. For more info give a call to Grand Targhee or Peaked Sports in Driggs. While you’re on that side of the Tetons, you might as well make a day of it and stick around for the Victor Parade and the big fireworks show at the Spud Drive-In!
