Rip the Ridge

Jackson Hole, Wyo.-It just keeps getting better! As if our trail network didn’t rule already, we now have one more gem to go out and enjoy.

I got an email last week that the Ridge Trail on Teton Pass is ready to go. Head out on the Arrow Trail, take the first right on the Ridge Trail or continue to SnoTel trail to access the ridge. Head North along the ridge and get ready to enjoy a whole new view of the Valley.

Once at the power line road, the singletrack trail continues to descend toward Fish Creek Road. Make sure you admire the rockwork and log cribbing along the way.
After a while the singletrack ends (for now) and you have to finish off the ride on the power line road.  GO SLOW!

The future success of this trail’s completion depends on us respecting this section of road, which sees horse, hiker and utility truck traffic.  We turned around and climbed back up along the mellow grade.  If you want more of this trail development, be sure to thank the USFS (Erik, Galen, & Linda) and keep donating to Friend’s of Pathways who have been key in making this happen (including the hiring of a convict crew to buff out some tread).

P.S.: Hope to see you at the Coach Friday night for BTD’s fundraiser.
