Jonas Brothers to promote Comp Plan

Jackson Hole, Wyo.-In an appeal to Jackson Hole residents in their twenties and thirties who have been absent from the recent comprehensive planning process, Town and County officials are holding a “Comp Plan Release Party” featuring a live performance by the Jonas Brothers at Snow King in early May.

The surprise performance will start in the afternoon.
“We want it to be a surprise gift to our community,” Teton County Parks and Rec events coordinator Rich Stough said. “We can’t wait to see the look on people’s faces.”

Officials hope the concert will make the community happy, but one Jackson woman already has her face “all screwed up” – flabbergasted that the town would not make the concert a family event.

“My six year old daughter likes the Jonas brothers, but can’t get in because it is a 21-and-over concert,” Larice Clements said as she entered Town Hall Monday to file a complaint. “Why didn’t they spend the money on food for the poor, or at least something kids can enjoy.”

Jackson’s mayor defended the choice.

“We want to get in touch with people in their 20s or 30s who are the business owners and PTA moms of the fu
ture,” Mayor Lark Ferrin told reporters at a press conference, Tuesday. “They will be our future before our children are, and they have not given themselves an adequate voice in our comprehensive planning process. This event is all about them, and it is all about freedom.”

The party will be 5 p.m., May 5, Cinco de Mayo, at Snow King, and a mariachi band will be roaming the crowd during an “after party” featuring a free fajita bar and “margarita deck.” Mayor Lark Ferrin and County Commission chair Lance Squibs will be handing out free margaritas from seven o’clock until nine.
“The Town don’t mess around,” Ferrin said.

Twelve ballot boxes and 12 stacks of yellowing, unfilled Comp Plan surveys will be dispersed through the crowd during the after party.

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop-rock boy band that won Breakthrough Artists of the Year at the 2008 American Music Awards, and were also nominated for a Grammy that year.  PJH

Jonus Brothers are awesome! I am glad they are leaving their field near Pinedale to come and play with us! It is sooo awesome that they are working with the UN and our county! Thanks to the UN and their Agenda 21, we have our orders! These people bug me that think we should have county or state or national sovereignty: this is archaic thinking.
